A monster goldfish weighing a whopping 67 pounds has been caught at Bluewater Lakes in Champagne, France! British fisherman Andy Hackett says it took him 25 minutes to reel in the legendary fish known as The Carrot. Apparently, The Carrot has been swimming those waters for the past 20 years but is elusive and difficult to catch.
The Carrot may be the largest goldfish ever reeled in according to the Daily Mail! It's outweighs the one Jason Fugate caught in Minnesota in 2019 by 30 pounds. It's also more than twice the size of one caught in 2010 in France by Raphael Biagini.
You'll be glad to know that Hackett celebrated his amazing catch and then released The Carrot back into the lake to continue swimming...and growing!
