Pick up lines that actually work!

We’ve all been there … you see someone cute across the bar and want to work up the courage to go talk to them, but can’t think of anything clever to say. Without a good ice-breaker, you may talk yourself out of approaching this person, and end up regretting that when you can’t get the person out of your head. And that’s where a solid pickup line can help.

We know what you’re thinking, pickup lines are cheesy and would never work, but Blaine Anderson disagrees, and as a professional dating coach for men, she would know. She’s known for sharing her helpful dating advice with her 700-thousand followers on Instagram and now she’s revealing a few pickup lines that she says could “actually work” on women.

• “Hey, I couldn’t help but notice you have a stunning smile and I couldn’t leave without coming over to introduce myself.” - According to Anderson, a nice compliment, like this one about their smile, is one of the best ways to make a good first impression. And once you say this, you can simply introduce yourself and take it from there.
• “You’re way too cute to be waiting alone. Can I buy you a drink?” - Lots of people go out to bars to meet people, so approaching someone sitting by themselves is usually a safe bet. Just be sure to do it respectfully.
• “You look so familiar. Has anyone told you that you look like Hailey Bieber? She’s my celeb crush so I had to come over and say hello.” - Of course, it doesn’t have to be Hailey Bieber, it could be any celebrity. This is just a playful way to introduce yourself and complement the woman who sparked your interest.
