Emmy Russell and Tyler Ward shared an update after asking for prayers for their baby.
Russell and Ward welcomed daughter Taylor Ray (Raydiant) Ward, on January 31. They shared in an update on Tuesday (July 22), and Ward explained that âwe learned yesterday that she has infantile spasms, which, after doing research, itâs 00.02% of conditions. So, (itâs) very, very rareâŠand often, treated early, results can be positive. Itâs about 50-50 chance, which is crazy. We feel like yâallâs prayers and support have actually made a huge difference. We saw her this morning before we gave her to the MRI, and she seems like sheâs more herself. But they issued some steroids to help the brain activity slow down, and she hasnât spasmed today, which is huge. So, the MRI results will reveal kind of the future. Seeing this support, I donât even have words. (Iâm) just really grateful, and I know that Emmy is grateful. This is a process.â
Russell thanked everyone âso much for the continued prayers. We really do believe it's helping shift towards healing,â she wrote as she shared the update on Instagram. âThank you for your continued prayers, truly.â
The former American Idol finalist and her husband previously shared that Taylor Ray had been enduring what âcould be small seizures.â They said their baby was âfussyâ and âcryingâ for a few days, and at first, they thought it mightâve been because of teething. However, Russell and Ward ârushed to the doctorâ when they noticed Taylor Rayâs âsmall spasms.â Russell admitted in a previous update that itâs âlonelyâ to go through this, and âweâve been crying all day long.â Russell and Ward asked others to âplease, please continue to pray.â
