Scotty McCreery paid tribute to his home state with a rendition of “Carolina to Me” at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The heartfelt performance took place during the Concert for Carolina benefit show organized by fellow North Carolina-born artists Luke Combs and Eric Church. Tens of thousands of concertgoers raised more than $24.5 million to help with Hurricane Helene relief efforts in the region, Combs confirmed. McCreery shared a clip of his “Carolina to Me” performance on Instagram on Sunday (October 27), reminisced on the “incredible night” in Charlotte on Saturday (October 26).
McCreery included “Carolina to Me” on his 2021 studio album, Same Truck, which also included “You Time,” “It Matters To Her,” Damn Strait” and other highlights. The Rise & Fall artist was one of several to join the star-studded lineup, led by Combs, Church, James Taylor and Billy Strings. Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, The Avett Brothers, Chase Rice and Parmalee also took the stage. special guests Nicole Kidman, Randy Travis and others surprised the massive crowd. It was all hosted by Caleb Pressley and Marty Smith, and live streamed on Veeps and iHeartRadio. Combs said the Concert for Carolina “will undoubtedly go down as the night I am most proud of in my career.”
