Matthew Ramsey posted another health update — and shared the hilarious nickname given to his walker — as he announced that more Old Dominion shows would be rescheduled as he recovers from an ATV accident. The Old Dominion frontman posted the update in a reel on the band’s Instagram account on Monday afternoon (April 3).

Ramsey previously pushed back a few dates on the “No Bad Vibes Tour” as he heals from injuries sustained during the accident. He previously posted a Time, Tequila & Therapy-inspired update and shared another glimpse of the walker he’s using (nicknamed “Walker Hayes,” thanks to bandmate Trevor Rosen). Ramsey said in his post on Monday:

“Hey, what’s up, everybody. Just want to say thank you, first of all, for all the support and love that you guys are sending me. The messages are awesome. They’re helping me get stronger. I’m getting stronger every day. (I’m) about a week out from the accident, still hanging out with ‘Walker Hayes,’ as Trevor has named it. But I just want to say, unfortunately, (I’m) not strong enough to make it up onto the bus yet, so we are gonna have to push Albany, New York, and Reading, Pennsylvania, and Bangor, Maine shows. We’re gonna have to reschedule those. …We will make it up to you. I’m so sorry. I know how excited you guys get for these shows, and me, too. It’s really tough to be sidelined right now, but we’ll see you soon. I promise. (I’m) getting stronger.”

The Pennsylvania show is rescheduled for Wednesday, July 26, 2023. The New York show is rescheduled for Thursday, July 27, 2023. The Maine show is rescheduled for Friday, July 28, 2023. Old Dominion noted that ticket holders will still have their tickets honored at the new dates; however, if fans are unable to attend the rescheduled shows, they can receive full refunds for the next 30 days at their points of purchase, according to the band’s announcement.

“I’m afraid I have some disappointing news. I was in an ATV accident that has left my pelvis fractured in three places,” Ramsey wrote in a statement on March 28. “The good news is it’s gonna heal just fine. The bad news is I’m gonna have to stay home and recover for a little while. I know we all had plans to sing and dance together in Key West. I was looking forward to that so much! We will make it up to you! I promise we’ll keep you updated on my recovery and any other shows that might be affected. This tour has been such a blast so far this year and before you know it I’ll be back out there with No Bad Vibes! Love you all.”
