Turns out Junior is an Elvis fan!  Elvis Presley’s last car has been restored, and will be on display at the Auto Fair next month in Charlotte.  Junior even gets to take it for a lap!  Here’s the story from the speedway

CONCORD, N.C. -- When Elvis Presley wasn’t singing to thousands of adoring fans, he was working on his ever expanding car collection. Elvis’ love affair with automobiles started when he was young, and when his career took off, so did his collection of vehicles. Today, Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis has a museum dedicated to his expansive collection of cars with more than 20 vehicles on display. The celebration of Elvis and his passion for cars will continue this year at the Charlotte Motor Speedway AutoFair, hosted by OldRide.com, as a famous and historic vehicle will be on display in the Showcase Pavilion – the last ride of the King, set to be unveiled on March 25, 2014.

The vehicle has been in storage at Graceland since 1977, and was recently preserved.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will take the historic vehicle for a pace lap around Charlotte Motor Speedway, where Elvis shot the movie “Speedway” in 1968.
