Mom Donates Kidney To Firefighter Who Helped Her Daughter

A few years ago, volunteer firefighter Bill Cox was the first person to help Becca Bundy’s young daughter when she had a seizure at home. Now the Minnesota mom is returning the favor by donating one of her kidneys to him. He was born with only one kidney and now it’s failing, so he’s been on dialysis while he tried to find a donor match.

Cox has been searching for donors and had several people offer, but no one has been a match. But Bundy was sure she was going to be the one to be a match for him and she was right. They had a successful transplant surgery and now she’s saved him, just like he saved her daughter. “She’s my angel,” Cox says.
