Thief Steals Money From Girl Scouts Selling Cookies

It takes a special kind of low life to steal from kids…and that’s who police in New Jersey are looking for – as a man stole a thousand dollars from a group of Girl Scouts selling cookies.

Officials say the theft happened at Woodbridge Center mall last Friday while the scouts from Troop 80062 were making Girl Scout cookie sales. The thief got away with about 500-dollars in cash and about the same amount in checks.

Police later reviewed surveillance footage that showed a man, possibly wearing a disguise, snatching a bank envelope that was left unattended. Apparently, he was with a woman using a red walker, and they left the mall shortly before the theft was discovered.
