Clemson will celebrate its latest national title with a parade and ceremony on Saturday. The parade will start at 9 at the intersection of Keith St. and College Ave. From there, the parade will head down College to highway 93 and turn left. The procession will go right on Calhoun Drive, right on Fort Hill Street, and end at Memorial Stadium.
Gates at Death Valley will open at 7AM for the celebration, the National Championship Game will be playing on the big screen in the end zone. The ceremonies in the Stadium will start at 10:30, and the plan is to end the program before the Tiger’s Basketball team plays top ranked Virginia at noon in Littlejohn Coliseum.
After Clemson won the championship two years ago, fans filled much of the upper deck of the stadium, which seats 81,500. The Tigers (15-0) should get another big crowd to cheer on the team after its decisive, 44-16 victory over defending champion Alabama on Monday night. It was the Tigers' second national crown in three years -both coming over Alabama- and third in program history.
