Some of the biggest names in country music are coming together to celebrate the start of the Troy Gentry Foundation. Blake Shelton, Chris Janson, Dustin Lynch, Rascal Flatts, Eddie Montgomery and others will perform at the foundation's launch party at the Grand Ole Opry on January 9th. Angie Gentry started the foundation to honor her late husband's memory. "We were sharing memories together one evening and decided we wanted to do something to keep the spirit of TROY’s generous heart alive and honor his memory. TROY was taken too soon, but we felt his dreams and dedication to helping others needed to continue. He was very passionate about our military and their families, about those in need to provide for their children, cancer research, and the continuation of music education.”
The foundation will benefit several causes close to Troy's heart, including the military, cancer research and music education.
