Former Clemson Running Back C. J. Fuller Dies

Former Clemson Tigers Running back C. J. Fuller has died, the university has confirmed.  He was 22 years old.

Fuller was a member of the Tigers 2016 National Championship team, and was listed as the starting tailback at the beginning of last season.  He played in all 14 games, and scored 3 touchdowns.  Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney said, "Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies are with C.J.'s family.  I've known C.J. a long time and watched him grow up through the Easley rec leagues all the way through Easley High School. I'm proud of what he accomplished as a Clemson Tiger, most of all, his accomplishment of being a Clemson graduate."

South Carolina's great running back Marcus Lattimore add on Twitter:  "We are mortal. I am devastated. Praying hard right now for CJ Fuller's family. Great human."

The Pickens County Coroner's Office says results from an autopsy  will take 6 to 8 weeks.
