College football games in South Carolina are being moved or cancelled because of Hurricane Florence. The second ranked Clemson Tigers will play their home game against Georgia Southern on Saturday, but kickoff has been moved up from 3:30 to noon. The University of South Carolina had cancelled their game with Marshall that was set for 7 Saturday night. “Whether or not the game could have been played, we made the decision we think is best for the state and those who are evacuating the coast,” athletics director Ray Tanner said in a statement released by the school. They’re trying to schedule a game on October 20th, which is currently an open date. If they do, your tickets for Saturday’s game will be honored. Furman’s home opener against Colgate, scheduled for Saturday in Greenville has been cancelled, as has the game between The Citadel and Charleston Southern.
