Detroit Tigers TV Broadcasters Get In Brawl Over Chair

It's not known if Detroit Tigers television broadcasters Mario Impemba and Rod Allen will be together in the booth tonight when the Tigers open up a three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals after they got into a fight Tuesday.

Allen is accused of putting Impemba in a choke hold from behind during an argument over a chair in the booth at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, after which each was sent back to Detroit on separate flights and were replaced Wednesday by Matt Shepard and Kirk Gibson. Allen's agent denies his client choked his broadcast partner, but does acknowledge there was a physical altercation. On Twitter, Allen said he's always conducted himself as an honorable professional and can't comment further, while Impemba has been silent.
