If you're planning to relocate, you might want to consider moving to Vermont. Thousands of tourists visit the Green Mountain state each year from around the world to take in the beautiful scenery, fall foliage and outdoor sports. Now, the state will actually pay you to move there. A new bill has just been signed into law that will pay people ten-thousand-dollars to move there and work remotely for an out-of-state employer. It's called the Remote Worker grant program and will take effect on January 1st, 2019. The money, distributed over two years, will help cover moving, living and working expenses, among other things. Currently, Vermont has budgeted funds to support 100 grants for the first three years and 20 additional workers each year from then on.
