It looks like nothing can stop Tim Tebow as he climbs through the minors.
Not even Tebow himself.
Because, despite an absolutely lousy spring training that saw him get just one hit in 18 at bats, including 11 strikeouts, he was promoted to Double-A by the Mets yesterday.
The Mets said yesterday that the 30-year-old outfielder has been assigned to start the season at Binghamton of the Eastern League where he will play for the adorably named Rumble Ponies.
The Ponies open their season at home on April 5th against Portland.
Incidentally, in defense of Tebow, you may recall he was playing on a tender ankle all spring after twisting it on a sprinkler.
