Butcher Stuck In Freezer Uses Sausage To Get Out

As a butcher, when going into the walk-in freezer, you better hope that door doesn't close. Unfortunately, that's just what happened to British butcher, Chris McGabe.

While working at his shop, he became trapped in the walk-in freezer after the wind blew the door shut. The safety button had frozen at -4 degrees fahrenheit and McGabe tried kicking the button free, but was unsuccessful in his efforts.

That's when he found the three-pound black pudding, a type of blood sausage. He claimed to use the frozen meat "like a battering ram" and eventually released the button after a few blows. “Black pudding saved my life, without a doubt,” McGabe says about the incident.
