It's been a very happy holiday season for Alan Robinson and Walter Macfarlane. The two Hawaiians have been friends since sixth grade, which was more than 60-years-ago. It turns out they've actually been brothers this whole time.
Robinson was adopted and Macfarlane never knew his father. It turns out both men used Ancestry.com to find out more about their family histories. That's how they discovered they are biological brothers.
“It was an overwhelming experience, it’s still overwhelming," Robinson says. "I don’t know how long it’s going to take for me to get over this feeling. This is the best Christmas present I could ever imagine having." According to Macfarlane, it's a "Christmas miracle."
