NASCAR Legend Robert Yates Dies


Robert Yates, NASCAR team owner and legendary engine builder, died yesterday at the age of 74.  Yates had battled liver cancer for a year.  He started building engines for Junior Johnson in 1971, then went on to win 57 races as a car owner from 1989 to 2007.  He won the Cup Championship with Dale Jarrett in 1999, also won three Daytona 500’s.  Yates was recently elected to the 2018 class in the NASCAR Hall Of Fame
