The residents of San Pedro Huamelula, Mexico have a new first lady but they're going to want to stay far away from her when her jaw isn't clamped shut. Mayor Victor Aguilarand married a crocodile as part of an age old tradition believed to bring good luck to local fishermen.
The croc, who was christened as "the princess" before the ceremony, wore a custom gown and veil as she was paraded down the street while music played.
The tradition dates back to 1789 and is not only meant for the fishermen. The crocodile is believed to also bring peace and prosperity to their community.
