Country Music Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced

Alan Jackson is being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The Class of 2017 was announced yesterday, and will also include Don Schlitz and the late Jerry Reed. Jackson will be inducted into the Modern Era category, while Reed will be in the Veterans category and Schlitz will become a member in the Songwriter category. Schlitz's many hits include "The Gambler" for Kenny Rogers, "When You Say Nothing At All" for Keith Whitley and "Forever and Ever, Amen" for Randy Travis. Reed passed away in 2008. The official induction ceremony will take place later this year.
