The Clemson quarterback was visiting friends in Alabama, and they decided to pop in to a popular local watering hole. Several patrons at the Innisfree Irish Pub recognized him, and a few took offense at his presence. You may remember that Watson threw for 420 yards in leading the Tigers to a won over the local Crimson Tide in the National Championship game. Some of the angry patrons were members of that very same football team, others defended the Clemson star. Watson avoided trouble by leaving quietly. The Pub issued an apology on their facebook page, saying it was not their employees who caused the issue, and saying that Watson is always welcome. Personally, I doubt he’ll make a return visit!
