Adele Shows Off Impressive American Accent In Hilarious 'SNL' Promo

Adele appears in a hilarious new Saturday Night Live promo clip.

The “Hello” singer-songwriter, who is set to make her SNL hosting debut on the late-night sketch comedy show this Saturday (October 24), gave her best American accent in a teaser video for tomorrow’s episode. Adele starts off the 35-second clip introducing R&B songbird H.E.R. as this week’s musical guest, saying, “Hi, I'm Adele and I'm hosting Saturday Night Live this week with musical guest H.E.R.”

SNL comic Kate McKinnon seems confused by the announcement, asking between the two singers, “Wait, her or her?” McKinnon, unable to determine whether Adele or H.E.R. is the musical guest, jokingly cuts in, “Yes, me. It is I who will be musical guest this week.”

“Or maybe me?” Adele quips before the three women — all of whom wear face masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 — playfully elbow around each other for more time in the spotlight.

In a second promo clip, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer gives a pretty impressive American accent after McKinnon blunders a "British" one.

The new videos come just days after Adele shared a behind-the-scenes pic of her looking over her script. “3 days to go,” teased the “Chasing Pavements” star, who couldn’t be more anxious about her first SNL hosting gig.

"Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified!” she shared on IG of the announcement. “I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right.”
