Ford Motor Company and its Performance Motorsports division announced Tuesday that it would introduce the Mustang to NASCAR’s Monster Energy Series beginning in 2019. Ford drivers are currently campaigning the Fusion in NASCAR’s top tier while the manufacturer has been running Mustangs in the X-finity Series since 2011. It will become the fourth Ford model to run at stock car racing's highest level, after the Thunderbird, Taurus and the Fusion. The Mustang should make it's debut in the 2019 Daytona 500
