SC Grandmother Who Fell While Delivering Food Can Now Retire

Many elderly people need to continue working even after retirement age just to make ends meet. That's what happened to Barbara Gillespie, a 72-year old great-grandmother from Charleston, South Carolina. She had to take a job at Domino’s Pizza after she retired from working in a school cafeteria to make some extra income.

Barbara was delivering a large order of food when she had a nasty fall. The homeowners, a firefighter and his wife, were very concerned about her and decided to do something about her situation. Kevin and Lacey Keigher started a GoFundMe page to collect money for her, and it has already raised over $250,000! Grandma Barbara, as the Keigher family now calls her, can retire because of the kindness of strangers!
