Insurance Companies Are Refusing to Cover Certain Vehicles

Progressive and State Farm are refusing to insure some older models of Hyundai and Kia in some unspecified areas because they are too easy to steal! Apparently, some 2015 - 2019 models of both brands of cars do not include some basic theft prevention devices that were standard in most other cars of the time (specifically electronic immobilizers for push-button start cars), which makes these vehicles much easier to steal. In some areas, these cars are 20 times more likely to be stolen!

Both Kia and Hyundai are offering some solutions for those who may own one of the models that are prone to be stolen. You can get more information here if you have or are thinking of buying one of them.
